Can dogs eat carbs?

Yes! Our dogs are healthiest when eating an appropriate balance of protein, fats, and carbs.

Like humans, dogs need sugar in their bloodstream for many bodily functions, and thoughtful carbs (which also provide a variety of other nutrients) make this possible. Without carbs in a diet, dogs are forced to convert proteins into sugars, which leads to an energy loss in the process.
